BMW Unveils Refreshed M4 with Enhanced Power and Features

BMW has officially revealed the facelifted version of its M4 Competition, marking significant enhancements in power, technology, and lighting options. The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine now delivers an increased output of 530hp, a boost from the previous 510hp. Despite the power increase, the torque remains unchanged at 650Nm, but it is sustained for a longer duration between 2,750rpm and 5,730rpm. The rear-wheel-drive variant has been discontinued, making the xDrive version the exclusive option. The updated M4 maintains its impressive performance metrics, with a claimed 0-100kph sprint time of 3.5 seconds for the coupe and 3.7 seconds for the cabriolet.

Externally, the M4 facelift showcases distinctive styling updates, particularly in the form of new lights at both ends. The rear lights now incorporate glassfibre bundle technology, previously featured on the limited-run BMW M4 CSL. Inside, the M4 retains its dual-screen infotainment and instrumentation displays, measuring 14.9 inches and 12.3 inches, respectively. The software has been upgraded to version 8.5, offering enhanced voice controls for climate functions. The ambient lighting has also been extended into the area above the central air vents, providing a choice of nine colors that dynamically respond to various stimuli, such as an open door or an incoming phone call.

Enthusiasts and prospective buyers in India can anticipate the arrival of the updated BMW M4 lineup later this year. The facelifted model brings a compelling blend of heightened performance, advanced technology, and aesthetic refinements, reinforcing BMW's commitment to delivering cutting-edge driving experiences.
