Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross Set for Significant Facelift in Early 2025

March 13th, 2024

2025 Citroen Models to Undergo Significant Design Changes

Citroen is gearing up to launch the facelifted versions of the C3 and C3 Aircross early next year, promising substantial revisions in design and materials for a more premium appearance. The upcoming models will feature restyled lamps, re-sculpted bumpers, and enhanced French styling, addressing previous concerns over omitted features in the current lineup.

Enhanced Features and Equipment
Responding to feedback from Indian buyers, Citroen plans to reintroduce previously missing features in the 2025 models, ensuring they are fully equipped to compete in the market. Expectations include top-spec C3 Aircross variants to incorporate LED headlamps, keyless entry, electric folding mirrors, ventilated front seats, push-button start, automatic climate control, sunroof, cruise control, and wireless charging – all aimed at aligning with competitors in the mid-size SUV segment.

Continuation of Powertrain Options
The facelifted C3 and C3 Aircross models will retain the same engine options and recently introduced automatic transmission. The C3 Aircross is currently powered by a 109bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox, while the C3 offers two options: a 1.2-litre turbo engine with a six-speed manual and a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre unit generating 81bhp with a five-speed manual transmission.

Price Expectations and Competition
Anticipate a slight price increase for the facelifted models due to added features and cosmetic changes. However, Citroen aims to maintain competitiveness against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Tata Punch, Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite in the market segment.
